From his reign until 1526, the castle was an engagement gift to six different queens – this is where the name “Castle of Queens” came from.crossing, come from the period of the foundation of the city by Casimir the Great. The greatest development of trade took place in the 16th and 17th centuries. ANCIENT FURNACE

“Fazola furnace” Ironwork tilting-mill with water wheel in operation, machinery village museum.  Hungary’s first industrial monument which can be easily approached by bus number 15 or the LÁEV forest train. The furnace’s history goes back to the 18th century.  Miskolctapolca Cave Bath

A unique experience to swim (well, you can’t really swim there), splash, play and walk around in a large cave system, which has water temperatures from 20-36 °C (thermal water), and has warm, wet air inside even in the winter. Its curative effect is due to the karst water and the unique climate. This is a must do if you are in Miskolc. The caves are around 150 m long but naturally nothing is straight, and it’s all quite dark (it’s a cave, after all).
